A car fire on Interstate 17 claimed the life of a driver. The incident occurred on Monday night, as reported by FOX 10 Phoenix. The Arizona Department of Public Safety confirmed that the single-vehicle crash took place near the southbound off-ramp at Deer Valley Road in north Phoenix.

Authorities pronounced the driver deceased at the scene. As of now, the identity of the individual has not been released to the public. AZ Family conveyed a statement from Raul Garcia, a spokesperson for the Department of Public Safety, where he described the driver as speeding and losing control at the off-ramp curve before the deadly impact.
