
An early morning blaze has left a home in Salem Township with significant damage. As reported by WPXI, the incident occurred on the 100 block of Cottage Avenue around 3:30 a.m. earlier this morning. The fire department rushed to extinguish the flames, visibly consuming part of the residential structure.
According to sources, one individual was inside the home when the fire began but quickly escaped unscathed. Emergency crews' prompt response likely helped prevent any physical harm to residents or responders. However, as of now, they have not been able to establish definitively what caused the fire. WTAE noted no "early word on what sparked the fire."
