El Mirage is improving its green spaces with a new Master Plan to upgrade its Parks and Recreation areas. To gather input from residents, the city is using a simple five-question survey, making it easy for locals to share their opinions.
It's important to note, the feedback collected will help shape a more inclusive vision for these civic spaces. “Your input is essential to creating a vision for City Parks that serves our residents best,” the City of El Mirage put it simply in a statement. A plan only as good as its reflection of community desires, they're looking for a hefty slice of participation in this so-called "initiative."
The creation of more than just open spaces; we're talking about environments that could potentially host everything from your morning jog to your friend's impromptu poetry slam. These are locales where communities can come together, where grandparents can watch their grandkids tumble in the grass, where the teenage skaters and the adult yogis might, ever so blissfully, coexist. Indeed, the parks of El Mirage are on the brink of transformation, and with residents holding the proverbial paintbrush, the final mural could be one of vibrant communal resonance.
