
Early Monday morning, a structure fire in South-Central El Paso demanded the efforts of local fire crews who worked diligently to bring the situation under control. The blaze, which broke out near the intersection of East Fourth Avenue and South Cotton Street, was a cause for concern as emergency services rushed to the scene. As reported by KFOX-TV, the El Paso Fire Department responded to the call of a Condition 2 fire at 2:54 a.m.
According to KTSM, the fire was successfully knocked down by about 6:15 a.m. by the fire department. Running for several hours, the firefighting personnel managed to subdue the flames and prevent further spread, ensuring that the fire was indeed under control.
No injuries were reported from the incident as the El Paso fire crews made their stand against the conflagration in the Segundo Barrio neighborhood. Once the fire had been extinguished, investigators moved in to begin their inquiry into the cause and circumstances of the fire, as stated by KVIA.
