A shooting occurred at a McDonald's in East St. Louis on Monday evening, leaving an employee with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim later died at a hospital. This marks the second fatal incident at this location this year. The East St. Louis Police Department responded to the scene at 588 N. 24th St. around 7:30 p.m., and Illinois State Police are assisting with the investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
According to KSDK, the unidentified woman was taken to a local hospital by East St. Louis officers, where she was pronounced dead. The investigation is ongoing, but no suspect information or motive has been released.
Troy Gray, a regular customer of the fast-food restaurant, told FOX2Now, "It’s sad that it happened and it’s too much killing going on down here in the city."
