A deadly blaze took the life of one individual in North Baltimore earlier this morning, marking another tragic event in Maryland's recent spate of fires. The three-alarm fire ravaged a home on the 500 block of E. 38th Street, as reported by FOX Baltimore. Authorities were called to the scene around 4:15 AM and found visible smoke and flames pouring from the residence. Despite the efforts of Baltimore City firefighters, the fire was not contained until shortly after 5 AM and resulted in one confirmed fatality.
The extended timeline of fights against flames in the Northeastern U.S. has coincided with ongoing drought conditions in the region, which can exacerbate the risk of such incidents.
