A grim discovery was made at a condemned home in Nashville's Madison neighborhood on Sunday night, as police investigated a fatal shooting incident. According to reports provided by WSMV, 36-year-old Jerome Gordan was found with a gunshot wound to the head near a backyard fence of the residence around 9 p.m.
The victim, later identified as Jerome Gordon, was transported to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries. The Metro Nashville Police Department noted that the location, which has been condemned, is known to shelter homeless individuals behind it. Residents in the area reported to authorities, as FOX17 recounted, having heard an argument before the shooting victim was found dead.
As emphasized by a statement collected by WKRN, "Anyone with information about the deadly shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463." The MNPD has not yet released further details regarding potential suspects or the context of the argument heard before the shooting.
