In the spirit of giving, the Fort Worth Police Department's South Division announces the return of its Blue Elves Christmas Toy Drive. According to a social media post from the department, the initiative aims to distribute toys to families within the South Division's service area.
Backing the drive, Back the Blue HQ has stepped in to assist with online monetary donations, which will be strictly used to bolster the purchase of additional toys. The Fort Worth Police Department has shared a QR code and a direct link for those who wish to contribute financially. To spread cheer, the collaborative effort demonstrates a community-focused approach during the festive season.
The toy collection will take place across several locations in the area. The South Division Patrol Headquarters, located at 3501 W Risinger Rd, will also host a weekly collection box available from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Upcoming collection events include stops at Walmart on McCart and Academy Sports & Outdoors, offering ample opportunity for community members to donate.
Events scheduled started on Sunday, with a 12 noon to 4 pm slot at Walmart, and will continue through mid-December. Highlighted stops include the busy intersections of McCart with Sycamore School Road and McPherson with Chisholm Trail Parkway.
