A 17-year-old boy named Mohammed, from Gaza, has arrived in Sacramento seeking medical treatment at Shriners Children's Northern California. He suffered a severe leg injury from a missile strike, which has left him unable to walk. His condition requires a full knee replacement, and metal rods are currently supporting his leg, as reported by ABC10

Suheir Ibrahim, Palestine Children's Relief Fund ’s U.S. operations manager, said, "As strange as it may sound, Mohammed is one of the lucky ones. Many children in Gaza have lost limbs or suffered multiple amputations." Mohammed, who was injured in an attack that killed his father and siblings, arrived in Sacramento with his mother. They were warmly welcomed at the airport. Mohammed expressed his gratitude to everyone, saying, "Greetings from Gaza, from the people of Gaza, and that, I thank you very much for giving me a beautiful welcome," as stated by ABC10 and KCRA

The Palestine Children's Relief Fund  has helped children like Mohammed get medical treatment in the U.S. He is one of eight children the organization has assisted. His mother said, "She is very happy to be able to provide this opportunity for her son where he will be getting treated and hopefully get some education while he's doing his treatment as well." Mohammed's treatment at Shriners Hospital will take several months, according to KCRA.
