
An armed robbery in Clinch County, Georgia has led to a shooting investigation, initiated by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) at the request of the Homerville Police Department. The incident, which occurred on Monday, resulted in one man being shot and two others assaulted, according to a GBI press release.
The victims are part of an out-of-state roofing crew that has been working on storm-damaged homes in the area. After the shooting, the injured man was transported to a hospital in Jacksonville, Florida for medical attention, while the two men who were assaulted received treatment at a local hospital before being released. At this point in time, no suspects have been apprehended in connection with a robbery.
The investigation remains active and ongoing as authorities seek further information. The Homerville Police Department, alongside the GBI, urges anyone with knowledge of the incident to come forward.
