The Town of Gilbert is donning its annual holiday regalia and if you're in the mood to take a festive driving tour, the local authorities have hatched a plan to map it all out for you. According to an announcement on Gilbert's official website, residents and visitors alike are invited to explore the town alight with seasonal cheer using the Gilbert 2024 Holiday Lights Map, which is available now through January 6, 2025, as reported by the Town of Gilbert.
The initiative, which is a collaboration between Gilbert 311 and Alex, the Gilbert data librarian, encourages community members to both share and discover the best holiday light displays around town. Potential explorers can casually start their engines and view photos, dates, and times of the bright displays, ensuring a well-lit route for their viewing pleasure. The interactive map is accessible at alex.gilbertaz.gov/HolidayLights, making it simple for anyone with a smartphone or computer to join in on the fun.
Gilbert residents and business owners can snap a photo of their festive lights and share it via the Gilbert 311 app or on their website for a chance to win a special local memento. "Take a photo of your holiday light display at your home or business and submit it at gilbertaz.gov/311 or through our free Gilbert 311 app," the call to action reads on the town's site.
Join the Gilbert Holiday Lights Map by December 22, and submit your display for a chance to win, as per the Town of Gilbert. Winners will be notified via email on December 23, with prizes available for pickup at Gilbert Town Hall. Gilbert 311, a year-round app for reporting concerns and requesting services, is available for download in the App Store to help keep the community running smoothly.
