West Maui residents can dispose of bulky recyclables on Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lahaina Civic Center. The event, hosted by Mālama Maui Nui in partnership with the County of Maui's Department of Environmental Management, requires prior appointments. Participants should secure an appointment in advance, according to the County of Maui.
Residents can drop off items like air conditioners, batteries, and various household appliances and electronics for free at the designated recycling event. This offers an easy way to get rid of clutter while supporting environmental sustainability. Please note that commercial drop-offs will not be accepted, as reported by the County of Maui.
To sign up for the recycling event, visit the Mālama Maui Nui website. The event is a partnership with the county to help recycle items like stoves, tires, and scrap metal.
