Violence erupted in the Jeff-Vander-Lou neighborhood as an argument over a vape escalated to gunshots last night. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department reported that a 57-year-old man sustained injuries following a heated dispute with a 33-year-old man, identified as the brother of the woman involved in the vape disagreement. Witnesses said the confrontation turned violent around 9:30 p.m. on the 3700 block of Palm.

The situation worsened when the 57-year-old, after being shot, reportedly returned fire as the 33-year-old fled. It's unclear if his shots hit their target or if the younger man was injured. Despite the chaos, EMS transported the victim to the hospital, where he was reported as stable.
