Henderson Calls on Local Artists to Embellish Public Spaces in The Water Street DistrictSource: City of Henderson

Henderson residents, it's time to get creative! The City of Henderson is inviting local artists to contribute their talents to beautify parks and public spaces in the Water Street District. Whether it's a CONEX box at Dos Escuelas Park or the bathroom walls at Boulder Creek Park, the city is offering a wide canvas for artistic expression. With the opportunity to follow a theme or draw inspiration from the community, this project aims to enhance the city's aesthetic while providing a platform for artists to showcase their work.

Art is a key part of Henderson's strategy to create a Healthy, Livable, and Sustainable City. The City of Henderson already features over 50 public art displays, and this initiative will add to that number. Notable locations for new artistic projects include the social wall at No. 1 Boba Tea and the vibrant HUB on Water Street, next to Wells Fargo, both of which are set to receive new artistic designs.

To enhance the quality of life in Henderson, the City is supporting local talent and making the application process easier by hosting an online informational session on January 7 at 6 p.m.

The deadline for application submissions is January 13. To access the necessary forms and learn more, visit Henderson's Public Art & Galleries page.
