Early this morning, the Hillsborough School District Office was at the scene of a burglary involving the theft of two GMC trucks and various tools. The Hillsborough Police Department, responding to the scene at 300 El Cerrito Avenue, confirmed that the burglary occurred between the previous day and early morning. The Hillsborough Police Department's social media post detailed that the officers utilize the Flock Safety Camera System to aid their investigation.
The visuals from the camera system have revealed a masked and gloved driver behind the wheel of one of the stolen vehicles. Although the California Highway Patrol in San Francisco found one of the stolen trucks at around 10:30 AM, it was unfortunately unoccupied. The Hillsborough Police Department is currently examining the vehicle, hoping to retrieve further evidence and restore it to the school district.
The police are contacting the community for assistance in their investigation and urging anyone with information to come forward. "The Hillsborough Police Department is working with neighboring law enforcement agencies to locate the stolen property and identify those involved in the crime," the Hillsborough Police Department's post stated. Concerned citizens or those with potential leads are encouraged to contact the Hillsborough Police Department at 650-375-7470.
