According to KOIN, the incident occurred shortly after 11:00 p.m. on Sunday when a black SUV struck a power pole at Southeast Oak Street and Southeast 5th Avenue. The collision not only disrupted electrical service but also forced the shutdown of several roads and a local school due to safety concerns over the damaged infrastructure.

The power outage impacted roughly 900 customers, a detail provided by KPTV's First Alert Traffic.
