The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office has issued an urgent appeal to the public for assistance in locating Amber Nancy Cox, 36, who vanished yesterday afternoon. Cox was last seen around 2 p.m. near her home on Murph Road, as she headed towards her mailbox.
Authorities describe Cox as a white female with brown eyes and red hair, standing 5'8" tall, weighing approximately 200 pounds. She was observed wearing a gray hoodie with a skull graphic, oversized blue jeans, and glasses. Notably, Cox has a distinctive scar on her chest and lower throat, WVLT reported.
In a concerning twist, her family has disclosed to deputies that Amber Nancy Cox suffers from a seizure disorder and that she did not have her medication with her when she disappeared.
