At a local gathering earlier this month, Creve Coeur resident Judy Wasserman was named Citizen of the Year 2024, an honor bestowed upon her by the City Council. The ceremony took place at the Creve Coeur Government Center on December 3, according to a statement from the City of Creve Coeur official website. Mayor Robert Hoffman, in the presence of volunteers and community leaders acknowledged Wasserman's significant contributions to the area.
Wasserman's unwavering efforts, which have spanned a decade consist of daily litter pickups along her walks encompassing Olive Boulevard, Ladue Road, and surrounding neighborhoods. These initiatives, Mayor Hoffman noted, have been instrumental in maintaining the local environment, aiding in the protection of wildlife, and fostering a sense of pride amongst Creve Coeur's residents. As mentioned on the City of Creve Coeur website, "these small acts make a big difference in making Creve Coeur a beautiful place to live," Hoffman expressed at the event.
Beyond just her environmental endeavors, Wasserman has played a pivotal role in the community's organizational fabric. Her tenure as President of the Creve Coeur Place Homes Association stretches over a decade, managing its affairs with acknowledged respect and professionalism. Her leadership is seen as a driving force behind community cohesion and direction.
