
Kingsport is celebrating the season with festive events. "This is Kingsport" and the Downtown Kingsport Association are teaming up for holiday cheer. The Kingsport Carousel will offer free twilight rides on Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with Christmas lights, according to the City of Kingsport.
The Carousel will host "Christmas at the Carousel" on Friday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Enjoy carousel rides, playground fun, crafts, and free treats. There will also be photo ops with Kingsport's vintage fire trucks, ‘Old Huldy & Red Annie,’ and visits from Buddy the Elf and Santa Claus, as reported by the City of Kingsport.
This weekend in Kingsport, Glen Bruce Park will host a few holiday events. On Friday at 6:15 p.m., Washington Elementary School’s ‘Patriot Pulse’ will perform, and you can "Enjoy the drumming of their little hands while surrounded by the falling snow." On Saturday from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m., "The Polar Express" will be at the Kingsport Farmers Market with a movie, hot chocolate, and crafts. Later that evening at 6:30 p.m., the Holloway School of Dance will perform at Glen Bruce Park with snow falling around them. Throughout December, Kingsport celebrates "Christmas in the Park," with over 100 decorated trees on display at Glen Bruce Park and Centennial Park, as stated by the City of Kingsport.
