The Annual River Riders Toy Run returns this Sunday, spreading holiday cheer and generosity throughout the community. Over 2,000 motorcyclists are expected to participate, delivering toys to children and bringing festive joy to the local community.
The riders are set to kick off the event at noon sharp, and they are estimated to arrive in Lake Havasu City by 12:30 P.M., per the official city announcement. Their path will take them from McCulloch Boulevard South to Main Street, as has become tradition.
As part of the celebration, a street gathering will ensue on Main Street following the ride. To host this sizable event, McCulloch Boulevard will be temporarily shut down to traffic between Acoma Boulevard and Smoketree Avenue, starting 6:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., the city's news announcement outlines.
Residents and visitors should note the change in traffic patterns and plan journeys accordingly. Detours will be in place to assist drivers in navigating around the closure while maintaining safety for all – the volunteers, law enforcement agents, and the motorcyclists, themselves. Lake Havasu City officials also urge the public to exercise caution when in proximity to the event's activities.
