Seeking justice for a tragic incident that occurred last Friday, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) is asking the public to aid in finding the driver responsible for a fatal hit-and-run in Canoga Park. According to a CBS News report, the collision took place near the intersection of De Soto Avenue and Gresham Street at around 5:15 P.M., when an unidentified man in his 40s was struck by a grey or silver vehicle while crossing the street.
The driver involved did not stop to render assistance and continued to drive away from the scene. The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics were promptly on site but pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The victim, a male Black in his early 40s and a resident of the Canoga Park area has not been named, as his family has yet to be notified, reported the LAPD News Release. Investigators believe there was significant traffic in the area at the time, which suggests there are potential witnesses who can help grant closure to a grieving community by coming forward with information.
