According to the City of Las Cruces, local artists have been lined up to share their vision for the park's new public art installment. Anyone with an interest in the blending of natural spaces and artistic expression is invited to sit in on these presentations, which will be held at City Hall on 700 N. Main St., Conference Room 2007-A.

The selection committee will be viewing these proposals over two days, December 10 and 11, starting at 4:30 p.m. The aim is to find a site-specific artwork that will enhance the park, which is already a neighborhood favorite for its picnic nooks and walking trails. The schedule for the artists' presentations is laid out with each getting a 30-minute slot to pitch their concepts. Citizens are not just welcome but encouraged to come and witness the ideas unfurl.
