A pedestrian involved in a collision in southwest Las Vegas on November 24 has died from the injuries sustained. The Clark County Coroner/Medical Examiner's office confirmed the death, identifying the victim as 49-year-old Margaret Murphy. She is the 152nd traffic-related fatality in the area this year, as reported by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
The collision occurred on W. Post Road west of S. Fort Apache Road, when a Toyota 4-Runner, driven by 39-year-old Felisha Makaena-Borden, struck a pedestrian, Murphy, who was outside of a marked or implied crosswalk. The vehicle had just made a left turn from S. Fort Apache Road. Murphy was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition. The driver, Makaena-Borden, cooperated with authorities and showed no signs of impairment, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and Hoodline.
