Residents in Lewisville looking to spruce up their homes or neighborhoods will find a helping hand from the city. A series of free workshops, starting January 14, will detail grant opportunities available for those aiming to make repairs or enhancements in their local community. The kickoff event will take place at 6:30 p.m. at Thrive, located at 1950 S. Valley Parkway, with sessions covering resources from the Property Enhancement Program, Love Your Block, and the Neighborhood Enhancement Program.

During the workshop, locals will get the lowdown on how the grant process operates, how to apply, and what other countywide resources might be available to them. The City of Lewisville noted that the Property Enhancement Program offers a 50 percent matching grant rebate for exterior home repairs, while Love Your Block provides a $500 reimbursable mini-grant for projects aimed to bolster community connections. The Neighborhood Enhancement Program promises even more with up to $12,500 in matching grants for groups looking to beautify their neck of the woods.

They're scheduled throughout 2025 on various Tuesdays from 6:30-7:30 p.m., rotating locations from the Lewisville Public Library to the Gene Carey Animal Shelter and Adoption Center, and the Lewisville Grand Theater. Additionally, special sessions focused on East Lewisville/Castle Hills will take place at a later date, as will workshops presented in Spanish and Chin at Serve Lewisville.
