A Hamilton County woman is facing allegations of child endangerment after a video surfaced online showing her purportedly spitting and squirting dish soap into her infant child's face. Twenty-year-old Cloe Workman, the mother in question, has been charged with misdemeanor child endangering and domestic violence. According to court documents, the Loveland Police Department initiated an investigation after the video became widely shared on social media.
The incident, captured on video footage last Monday, led to Workman's arrest. The footage reportedly shows Workman spitting onto the child's face and pushing the child's head, as well as administering the dish soap. FOX19 reported on the court documents that Workman was charged with the crimes above last Tuesday.
A family relative informed us that the child, who is just over a year old, is now in a safe environment with Workman's grandparents. This information was detailed in an article by Local12. The same source confirmed that Workman was held at Hamilton County Jail following her arrest.
Meanwhile, Workman’s legal proceedings have begun. During an arraignment, she was assigned a public defense attorney and was subjected to a "criminal temporary protection order," as the Hamilton County Clerk of Courts reported via FOX19. A pre-trial hearing has been scheduled for Jan. 6, 2025. In the meantime, a GoFundMe campaign has been launched in support of the child's father, raising nearly $1,100 by late December, as per information from Cincinnati.com.
