According to a statement obtained by AZ Family, the disturbance began as a noise complaint involving loud yelling which escalated into a physical fight among multiple individuals, culminating in gunshots.
While officers were en route to the scene, another call reported several people entering a red vehicle, followed by additional gunfire. Detective Brandi Myers, in a briefing, disclosed, "The caller described the disturbance escalating into a physical fight involving multiple people and heard what sounded like a gunshot." Upon their arrival, officers discovered a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
