
A pedestrian accident involving a Brinks truck occurred yesterday afternoon on North Broadway near the Broadway Shopping Center, resulting in critical injuries for one individual. According to WVLT, the Knoxville Police Department stated the pedestrian was quickly transported to the hospital and is in critical condition.
The injured pedestrian, an adult male, was taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center where he remains hospitalized, and while the authorities believe he fell in front of the southbound Brinks truck "for reasons that remain under active investigation," as per a WBIR report.
The Knoxville Police arrived at the scene shortly after the incident, which occurred in a busy commercial area. The crash has caused significant traffic disruptions, with Knoxville Police Department advising commuters of delays and recommending alternate routes, as stated by WATE.

Crash reconstruction personnel were dispatched to the scene shortly after 3:30 p.m. due to the seriousness of the accident. The investigation is ongoing.
