A Maryland man faces felony charges after authorities say they caught him on TikTok burning "TRUMP" and "USA" into the street with a flamethrower. The Anne Arundel County Fire Marshal Division dispatched investigators to Hickory Hollow Drive on November 15 following reports of property destruction. According to WMAR-2 News, they discovered the politically charged words singed into the asphalt when they arrived.

Craig Philip McQuin, the Glen Burnie man accused of the act, now faces second-degree malicious burning, destruction of property, and possession of a destructive device charges. With flamethrowers classified as "destructive devices" under Maryland law—equivalent to a bomb—they are banned from possession and use within the state. Upon finding a TikTok video allegedly showing McQuin using the illegal device, the authorities were able to take action, as reported by FOX Baltimore.

While a court date has yet to be scheduled, a summons for McQuin to appear before a judge was issued Sunday. Despite the incident's notoriety, as of Monday morning, this had not been served. Those with additional information about the incident are encouraged to call 410-222-TIPS.
