
The MBTA Transit Police have issued an appeal to the public for assistance in identifying an individual related to an assault and battery and assault to rob incident. The event reportedly occurred last night at approximately 8:40 PM on the red line train between Quincy Center and JFK/UMass stations.
According to the social media post, the assault did result in a facial injury to the victim. The authorities are seeking the public's help in hopes that someone will recognize the person of interest from the image circulated. "Recognize this person of interest? Pls contact our CIU at 617-222-1050 w/any info," the MBTA Transit Police requested, stressing the option for tipsters; they can remain anonymous.
