This is not the first such crime to unsettle the Memphis community. A second mail carrier at the same complex was victimized just eight days prior, marking a disturbing pattern of violence towards postal workers. These incidents occurred within the same vicinity—The Landings Apartments on South Landing Way, as reported by FOX13 Memphis. In the latest robbery, the suspect was described as a man between 30 and 38 years old, weighing about 240 pounds, and driving a black 2015 or 2016 Ford Fusion with some damage to the front end.
In an effort to assist the ongoing investigation, the Postal Inspection Service has made public surveillance footage and images of the alleged culprit. The agency's move, aimed at amplifying the hunt for the suspect, offers a glimpse of the man stepping out of the passenger side of the aforementioned Ford Fusion before approaching the mail truck.
