A man is in critical condition following a shooting incident in Orange Mound, according to the Memphis Police Department. The area, often bustling with the comings and goings of residents, became a scene of urgent activity Friday when, around 7:44 p.m., officers were summoned to Park Avenue near Haynes Street. As per the initial reports by Action News 5, the man had sustained gunshot wounds by the time the authorities arrived.
Despite the swift response by emergency services, the victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, was transported to a nearby hospital where he remains in critical condition. Shortly after the shooting, just as he was found, Memphis Police relayed that they had not yet taken anyone into custody regarding the incident, as reported by WREG.
