Yesterday, a pedestrian was hit by a car on Union Avenue around 5:28 p.m. near the intersection of Union Avenue and Camilla Street. Officers arrived to find one person seriously injured, as per Action News 5 report.

Witnesses near Camilla Street found the pedestrian in critical condition before emergency services arrived. The victim was taken to Regional One Hospital, where they remain in critical condition, according to WREG.

FOX13 Memphis reports that the driver involved in the incident remained at the scene. Memphis Police Department is actively conducting the investigation.
