
A weekend hit-and-run in Memphis has left one person dead and another injured. According to the Action News 5 report, at approximately 10:15 p.m. on Saturday, Memphis Police were called to a crash at the intersection of South Third Street and Builders Way. An unknown driver, occupying an unidentified vehicle, struck the rear bumper of a black 2014 Nissan Altima, causing it to lose control and collide with a light pole.
The impact of the crash critically injured both the driver and the passenger of the Nissan Altima, who was then transported to Regional One Health. Tragically, the passenger succumbed to his injuries later. The vehicle responsible for the accident fled the scene and is believed to have front-end damage. Thus far, no arrests have been made, and the Memphis Police Department is urging anyone with information to come forward.
