Memphis Police are on the lookout for an unknown suspect or suspects who caused significant damage during an attempted theft on the 5700 Block of Shelby Oaks Drive. According to the Memphis Police Department, the property damage totaled approximately $3,000. The incident, which occurred on December 1 involved an unsuccessful attempt to steal a trailer from a local business.
The officers responded to the complaint at around 9:20 p.m., upon which they discovered that the would-be thieves had fled the scene after crashing through a closed gate. The suspects were reported to have been occupying a blue pickup truck. The authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward and have provided several avenues for doing so.
