Mesa's hotel scene is on the brisk path of expansion with the groundbreaking of the first Tempo by Hilton hotel in the Phoenix metro area, signifying a new chapter for the local hospitality industry. This development sprouts from the southeast soil of Power Road and the southern parcel of Loop 202, nestled within the ambitious visionary realm of Gallery Park's mixed-use expanse.
As reported by ABC15, this emerging establishment, a dual-branded entity that includes Homewood Suites by Hilton, embarks on its maiden construction phase earlier this month. The hotel’s stack of 174 rooms, will span over four levels, where Tempo by Hilton infuses 97 upscale lifestyle rooms with modern comforts. The union, of these two brands promises to mesh luxury with practicality, offering amenities such as a resort-style pool with cabanas, an event lawn, and diverse fitness options.
The project, as KTAR details, marks a pivotal first for both Tempo by Hilton and the region, propelling Mesa towards an era of heightened residencies and visitor accommodations. The Homewood Suites by Hilton component of the project is designed to appeal to guests desiring extended stays with its 77 suites, which like its Tempo counterpart, aims to provide an experience of refined and contemporary living.
Mesa City Councilmember Scott Somers underscored the significance of the development, "It represents a move towards Mesa’s vision to create spaces where people can work, live, and thrive, bringing more quality offerings to our community," he told KTAR. Mayor John Giles echoed this sentiment, bracing for the impact, it will impart on the city's growth, "We’re excited to welcome the first Tempo by Hilton in the region," he professed. Giles anticipates that the addition of Hilton's latest brand will be a boon as southeast Mesa continues to attract a surge of visitors, businesses, and new residents.
Not merely focused on lodging, the new Tempo by Hilton hotel will tantalize guests with its full-service restaurant and bar, promising an "elevated casual dining experience with a New American menu," according to ABC15. Gallery Park itself has already begun to carve out its place as a commercial hotspot, with a roster of businesses such as Panera Bread, Raising Canes, and In-N-Out Burger, which have staked their claims in the burgeoning enclave.
