The Metropolitan Police Department is on the lookout for two individuals and a specific vehicle tied to a series of business burglaries across the city, as they appeal to the public for any information that could lead to identifying and capturing the suspects involved.
According to the official MPD news release, the series of break-ins occurred at various locations between the Sunday and last night, the suspects forced their way into businesses, took property, and then made their escape in a gray Infiniti Q50 that has a moon roof and is recognized by its rear VA license plate, numbered TTP3040, in a crime spree spanning from the 2300 block of Wisconsin Avenue, Northwest, to the more distant 2400 block of Market Place, Northeast, affecting a range of the District's commercial properties.
The vehicle, seen in surveillance footage, is a key lead in the case. Police have released images of the suspects and their getaway car, urging anyone with information about the suspects or the Infiniti to come forward. They advise the public not to take any action, but to report any tips to the police.
Police are offering a reward of up to $1,000 for any tip that leads to an arrest and indictment.
