
Concerns were put to rest after the Broward Sheriff's Office Missing Persons Unit successfully located Estifene Lebrun, the 70-year-old man reported missing from Lauderdale Lakes. WSVN reported that after issuing a missing persons alert, the efforts of detectives bore fruit when they found Lebrun safe in nearby Oakland Park.
Lebrun, who was last seen on Sunday, Dec. 29, near the 3600 block of Northwest 40th Street, is known to be bald, with brown eyes, and his description details him as standing 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing around 135 pounds. Wearing a red, yellow, and white hooded sweatshirt with black pants, suffering from dementia confirmed by his family, credited the BSO with finding him safely.
The initial alert, which was shared on social platforms, described the urgency of the search referencing his condition, stating, "MISSING PERSON: Have you seen Estifene Lebrun?" - the post was made in an effort to engage the public's help. The Sheriff's office post urged anyone with information to come forward and call 954-764-HELP (4357).
