
The search for a missing East Tennessee man, which prompted the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation to issue a Silver Alert, was concluded on a note of relief when the man was found unharmed. According to WVLT, 68-year-old Daniel Killen was last observed in Johnson City on December 12, before his disappearance stirred the concerns of the local community.
Early Saturday morning, the TBI disseminated a Silver Alert, and it wasn’t until shortly after 11 a.m. that word came through Killen had been located safe in Elizabethton. In an expression of collective gratitude, TBI thanked everyone through a social media post for their contributions in sharing the alert, stating, "Thanks for helping us spread the word!" According to the TBI's social media statement, this community action seemingly played a crucial role in the positive outcome of this event.

In an update shared by WJHL, the TBI confirmed that the Silver Alert had been canceled following Killen's discovery.
