
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has confirmed that the motorcyclist involved in a collision with a vehicle last month has died. The accident occurred on November 18, 2023, and the rider passed away on November 17, due to blunt force trauma, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
A collision occurred on South Durango Drive at the Starboard Drive intersection around 4:33 p.m. when a motorcycle collided with a car turning left. The motorcyclist, a 30-year-old Las Vegas resident, was thrown onto nearby vegetation and sustained life-threatening injuries. He was taken to the Trauma Unit at University Medical Center. The car driver, 26-year-old Tristan Torres, had minor injuries but was not impaired, as reported by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department are investigating the cause. Although the motorcyclist died from the crash, the death isn't being counted as a traffic fatality because it occurred more than 30 days after the incident, according to department policy. The motorcyclist’s identity is not yet released.
