The Metropolitan Police Department is currently on the lookout for a suspect involved in a Northwest business armed robbery. According to the MPD's release, the incident took place last Thursday, at about 6:55 p.m. on the 1500 block of 9th Street, Northwest. Multiple suspects armed with handguns made their way into the business, subduing the employees, ordering them into the bathroom, and locking them inside before making away with goods from the establishment.

Surveillance cameras near the crime scene managed to capture images of one of the individuals responsible. In the photos, the suspect's features are visible, which the police have now circulated, urging the public for assistance. The exact number of suspects involved, while they displayed handguns during the robbery, is still being determined by the authorities. The suspects, after collecting the merchandise, escaped the site of the robbery, leaving the employees locked in the bathroom.

The MPD is appealing to the public, asking anyone with information about this incident to come forward. "Anyone who has knowledge of this incident should take no action but call police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411," the MPD press release states. In an effort to encourage potential witnesses to share their information, the MPD has also announced that there is a reward of up to $10,000 on offer. This reward is for any information that leads to an arrest and conviction of the person or persons involved in the armed robbery, or any other violent crime in the District of Columbia.
