In the early hours of last Saturday, a severe road incident unfolded near the intersection of I-17 and Buckeye Road in central Phoenix, resulting in multiple hospitalizations. ABC15 reports that the crash involved a man now grappling with life-threatening injuries and a woman who sustained less serious harm.
The accident, which occurred just before 3 a.m., prompted an emergency response from Phoenix police to the locale, where authorities discovered the two adults and four children involved in the mishap. The children, while not critically injured, were taken to the hospital as a preventive measure, say police.
As for the current state of the roadways, AZ Family notes that Buckeye Road experienced closures at the end of the ramp post-collision, but it was reopened around midday. The precise dynamics that led to the collision remain under scrutiny, with an ongoing investigation seeking to unwind the sequence of events.
