A house fire resulted in serious injuries for a Murfreesboro resident yesterday afternoon, as confirmed by the Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department (MFRD). Crews were dispatched to a dwelling on Pecan Ridge Drive following reports of fire, where they encountered smoke billowing from the property.
Firefighters conducted a rapid search and discovered the blaze was confined to a bedroom within the home. "MFRD said fire crews were able to contain the fire to the room and extinguish it," according to WSMV. Reports indicate that during the efforts to snuff out the flames, one inhabitant of the house was critically injured and required hospitalization.
Further details were shared in a social media post by the Murfreesboro Fire Department, which stated, "Upon arrival Engine 9 found smoke coming from the residence.
