Country music star Morgan Wallen's brush with the law has officially landed him in a Nashville court, reported WSMV. His legal representation appeared on his behalf this Tuesday for a case that involves the singer facing three counts of reckless endangerment and one count of disorderly conduct. These charges originate from an April incident in which Wallen is accused of throwing a chair from a rooftop bar—the object perilously landing mere feet from patrolling police officers.

The scene of Wallen's alleged chair-throwing was Chief’s, a bar associated with country artist Eric Church, located on the vibrant thoroughfare of Broadway. An arrest warrant indicates that the chair came dangerously close to two Metro Nashville Police Department officers. The whole act was caught on video surveillance footage, a critical piece of evidence in the developing narrative, as described in a report by WKRN. Witnesses claimed to have seen Wallen pick up a chair and toss it over the edge of the bar, apparently finding amusement in the act moments later.

Admitting to his actions, Wallen took to social media to express remorse. "I didn’t feel right publicly checking in until I made amends with some folks. I’ve touched base with Nashville law enforcement, my family, and the good people at Chief’s. I’m not proud of my behavior, and I accept responsibility," Wallen said. He continued, "I have the utmost respect for the officers working every day to keep us all safe. While Wallen's attorneys initially expected to present in court on December 12, the date was advanced to today.
