San Francisco's Thrive City is gearing up to welcome a new dining option, Taco Primo, an eatery from the creators behind the acclaimed cocktail spot The Snug. In an announcement shared on the Chase Center's website, Taco Primo is described as a contemporary, fast-casual Cali-Mex taco joint, inspired by traditional cooking and the cultural melting pot of the Bay Area. It will take up residence on Thrive City’s Esplanade, offering culinary delights seven days a week from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., starting early 2025.
The menu caters to varying tastes, featuring everything from wholesome salads to indulgent burritos. Diners can anticipate a choice of four slow-cooked proteins, which include chicken, al pastor, suadero, and an unconventional braised jackfruit, all flavored with the restaurant's own "primo spice blend." Liv Ringo, co-owner of Taco Primo, expressed her excitement by saying, as per Chase Center's website, "Thrive City has such a vibrant community of fans, food lovers, and fellow retailers. We've wanted to launch a concept like Taco Primo for a while, and to share it with the world at such an iconic San Francisco venue is a dream come true."
For those eager to sample Taco Primo before its grand opening, The Snug will host a Taco Primo pop-up from December 9, offering a preview of what's to come. The Snug Instagram post read, "So this is your last weekend to come grab some popcorn chicken or a burger before they’re gone! We can't wait for you all to try Taco Primo." Followers were encouraged to track updates on the venture and check out the forthcoming menu on the Taco Primo website.
