
The New Orleans Police Department is actively seeking a person of interest following the tragic death of a three-year-old boy, resulting from an accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound. According to the New Orleans Police Department News release, the incident occurred on Saturday evening in the 2200 block of Willow Street.
Identified as Tatisha C. Refuge, a Black female born on May 9, 1977, she is believed to be connected with the case, as the loaded firearm, which the young victim discovered and subsequently led to his untimely death, is registered under her ownership. The New Orleans Police Department is urging Ms. Refuge to present herself for questioning regarding the circumstances that enveloped that ill-fated gathering, where the child's family was visiting at her home.
The New Orleans Police Department has not issued an arrest warrant for Refuge but emphasizes the importance of her coming forward.
