Henderson's skyline now features the new West Henderson Hospital, which began accepting patients on Tuesday. This modern facility is part of The Valley Health System's network in the Las Vegas area. Located near the Las Vegas Raiders' headquarters at Raiders Parkway and St. Rose Parkway, the hospital aims to provide accessible care to the community, according to The Valley Health System.
West Henderson Hospital has 150 inpatient beds and a 36-bay emergency department, designed to meet the healthcare needs of Las Vegas residents. It also includes surgical suites, endoscopy suites, and cardiac labs, with plans to expand to 4,550 beds in the future. The hospital, which started construction in March 2022, was finished on time and under budget. SR Construction, the contractor, used a special process to keep things on track. Project president Bret Loughridge explained, "Our team was presented with a desired budget and a project completion deadline. The plans had yet to be completed. We used our unique process, The ‘SR Built’ Process, to provide the owner with certainty in time and budget. We worked collaboratively with the design teams and the owner to develop a project solution that would accommodate the desired goals and the hospital was ultimately completed on time, and approximately 4% under budget." This method saved time compared to traditional construction, as stated by FOX5.
West Henderson Hospital is adding new labs to treat heart and neurological conditions. The hospital is designed to eventually have up to 4,550 beds, but it already offers advanced healthcare services to the community. This expansion is meant to meet the growing needs of Henderson and the Las Vegas area, as reported by FOX5.
