The New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) has made two arrests in relation to a recent double homicide case. According to NOPD News, yesterday, the NOPD took into custody Darrell Fairley Jr. and Cornelius G. Tillman, marking a pivotal turn in the investigation of a fatal shooting that occurred on November 30 in the 6700 block of Tara Lane.

On the afternoon of the incident, NOPD officers arrived at the scene following a shooting report and discovered two male victims with gunshot wounds. New Orleans EMS pronounced both individuals deceased. The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office later identified the victims as Wayne Orsin, aged 18, and Rashada Richardson, 21, the ongoing investigation had seen NOPD Homicide Section detectives diligently working to piece together the events that led to the deadly shooting. Their efforts culminated in the identification of Fairley and Tillman as the suspected perpetrators. Arrest warrants were then issued, charging each of them with two counts of second-degree murder.

Both Fairley and Tillman were found and detained yesterday, without resistance. The suspects were subsequently book into the Orleans Parish Justice Center.
