According to a recent Facebook post by NYPD Crimestoppers, the incident occurred on August 2, in front of 1800 Sedgwick Avenue within the jurisdiction of the 46th Precinct. The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, was reportedly shot in the head by an assailant who approached on a scooter.
The NYPD's request for assistance from the public was made through the Crimestoppers program, which offers a reward for information leading to an arrest. They have pledged up to $3,500 for tips that can help solve this case. The suspect, described only as an "unknown individual," was seen fleeing the scene on a two-wheeled scooter after firing the gun, as stated by NYPD Crimestoppers.
