
The Oakland Police Department is currently requesting public assistance to help solve a homicide case. As stated by the Oakland Police Department, the incident involved the fatal shooting of one Tony Miller on September 28. The tragedy unfolded near DeFremery Park around 7:30 PM during the McClymonds High School Alumni Picnic, celebrating community ties and past educational achievements.
Responding to a ShotSpotter alert, police arrived at the 1600 block of Adeline Street to discover the victim wounded by gunfire. After being transported to a local hospital, the victim was pronounced deceased.
