The Oakland Police Department is renewing its call for assistance from the public in cracking the case of Claijion Tolbert-Bundy's murder over three years ago. Tolbert-Bundy, who was only 17 years old at the time of death, was fatally shot on November 20, 2021, on Carrington Avenue. The police have released images of a person and a vehicle, a black Infiniti coupe known for its loud exhaust, involved in the homicide.
In an appeal to the community, the OPD sincerely hopes someone will come forward with pivotal information. They are now sharing photos that they believe are closely tied to the tragedy. On that grievous night in 2021, an incident shook the 3900 block of Carrington Avenue. The OPD Homicide Section reported to the scene after officers received calls about a shooting at around 8:30 PM. Arriving officers found the victim with a gunshot wound(s), but despite the swift response of paramedics, Tolbert-Bundy's injuries proved fatal. The young man's life was declared ended there, as per the Oakland Police Department.
